I was born to work in real estate. With two generations of realtors in my family before me, I continue my family's legacy of helping people fulfill the American dream of finding the perfect home and investing in their futures through real estate.
A resident of Redmond and raised in Bellevue, I started out my career as a loan officer. Examining real estate from the financial perspective was invaluable for me. The knowledge I've gained as a loan officer allows me to help his customers by calculating debt to income ratios, and advising my buyers on the best loan programs for their needs.
After working as a loan officer I began my real estate career in builder services, selling and managing new construction properties. This experience is beneficial to my clients who are developing their own property or purchasing a new construction home. I also uses that expertise in planning and developing my own properties and in my role as partner of a local construction company.
I am a third-generation Realtor with a construction and development background, including lending expertise. Before entering Real Estate, I chose to start my career in the mortgage industry, developing a strong understanding of how mortgages effect the purchase of real estate. As a broker, I have added to this understanding by learning and experiencing all sides of the transaction. As a result, I bring a certain creativity to standard real estate transactions. Part of my duties as a loan officer was to originate loans and to procure private financing for developers and builders. Equipped with this knowledge, I entered the world of Real Estate, my true passion.
After 15 years of working with buyers, sellers and numerous investors and builders, I created a new company with one of my longstanding investor clients, Kirkland Homes, LLC. While my real estate team was growing, Kirkland Homes was also booming. We began remodeling homes, subdividing property, and building new homes. Our company was a very profitable venture until the market shifted; at that point Kirkland Homes shifted into a property holding company. This venture has provided invaluable assistance to clients who want to take their real estate investing to a new level of risk and return. I enjoy teaching people how to subdivide properties, manage new construction projects, and navigate through the challenges of buying real estate directly from banks prior to foreclosure as well as negotiating successful short sale transactions.
Since becoming a real estate broker, I have helped thousands of clients become happy homeowners. My niche is working with first time home buyers. My background as a loan officer helps me assist buyers in calculating their debt to income ratios and establishing their ability to buy a home and get a loan. My expertise lies in credit counseling, debt management, and wealth building / achieving financial independence through the vehicle of real estate.
